Here's the original. I know it's not in focus but that's ok because I posted the series of 3 to demonstrate the filter effects rather than because its subject was interesting. It's also good to note that the equipment in the background is very close to a primary green and the filter effect on it is almost as interesting as what happens to the blurry ear itself.

I'm just posting this for documentation purposes. I don't really like the photo but Xenia is just about due for a tornado to level it again, so I figure this will give people an idea of what it used to look like.

Here's one in color.

If I told you that if you take a picture at just the right humidity and lighting condition you can actually see the moisture scattering in front of a microwave radio dish would you believe me?

Another Xenia rooftop sunset. I don't get on rooftops very often and I don't have the proper lenses to do all the things I'd like to do. Subsequently, sunset shots are damn near all I really got.

If I had one of these I'd get all the Dayton and Cincy channels. Between that and Hulu I could ditch cable. Sigh.

Xenia from a rooftop just after sudown a few days ago.

We found many of these taped into various cracks and crevices at the playground near our house recently.

A little color just for the heck of it.

What kind of car is that?

I try to never miss an opportunity to snap a flash pic of any large surface of a single primary color (especially if it includes any kind of detail since a large flat surface is... well... flat).

Red filter to brighten underexposed faces.

Green filter to bring out detail in overexposed faces.

Brand new playground equipment. If there's any consolation in the fact that every surface of it is already keyed up and covered with carved curses and racial slurs from emo white kids it's that it's, at the very least, confirmation that the world does continue to turn.

This one's for the grandparents.

Neither do shadows.

Clouds never get boring.

It never fails. Even though 99% of them are boring there's always at least one pic that I like whenever I mess about with shots of playground equipment.
