I should have taken a picture of the roasted product before i scooped them out, but I didn't.  here's the aftermath.

at this point, we've only to rub them with dark syrup and lightly salt them, before they go in to the oven to roast.  ikea roasting pan.  17.99

 i suppose i should show you what it looked like before we started hacking in to it.
