Took this weekend on a short hike - the sky is way blown out but I don't have a tripod yet. Otherwise I might give a try though HDR. I dig the artifacts (think thats what they're called) that show up in the grass. Almost think I should crop it narrower to eliminate the sun but keep the rays...

lens flare. this shot reminds me of the sort of lomo style. i'm thinking of using one of my old p&s cameras to kinda get my own "lomo without a lomo" thing going.
